(Greenwich, CT) –  September 8, 2011 —  Altus  Power Management announced the signing of a long-term Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA ) with the DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland.  Altus Power will finance solar arrays on the roofs of two separate DeMatha buildings:  the Convocation Center and the school’s gym.  The project installer, Affordable Solar Works, has received permits and has begun the installation of the 127 kW roof-mounted system.  This system will provide clean energy directly to the school at a lower cost than grid-delivered electricity and will help to offset the school’s carbon footprint.

“We are excited to work with an institution with such a long-standing history of achievement as DeMatha,” said Tom Athan, Managing Partner at Altus Power Management, LLC.  “We look forward to helping the school lower its electricity costs and become a better environmental steward.”
