(Greenwich, CT) – Altus Power Management is pleased to announce the purchase of a solar system at Orange Center Elementary School in Fresno, California. The 90 kW ground mount system will offset an estimated 60 percent of the school’s electricity usage and significantly reduce their carbon footprint over the term of the 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Altus Power finances, owns and operates the system, which was installed by Xnergy – a California-based clean energy installation company. Construction on the project was completed on April 3, 2013. The 378 panel system will generate approximately 144,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year, saving CO2 emissions equivalent of 7,300 gallons of gasoline annually.
