About the Position
Altus Power is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Technician Manager – East Coast to join its Energy Optimization team. The successful candidate will possess the knowledge required for conducting preventative and corrective workflows with the objective of ensuring not only a safe and efficient work environment for our technicians but also striving for the optimal performance of the assets within their oversight. A strong leader who believes in collaboration amongst teams and patient supervision is essential to this role.
Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and guidance to your field technicians ensuring a safe and positive work environment
· Collaborate with your Senior Energy Optimization Manager(s), Technical Documentation Specialist, and our Health & Safety Manager to ensure successful onboarding, growth, and adherence to company standards with our field technicians
· Work with your Senior Energy Optimization Manager(s) and our Health and Safety Manager to create, audit, and improve our SOPs
· Collaborate with our Health & Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct regular safety meetings
· Research and recommend trainings that will further serve our technician’s knowledge base furthering our diagnostic, repair, and maintenance capabilities
· Provide technical expertise in the troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of PV issues
· Liaise with our procurement team in addition vendors and suppliers to ensure access to required rentals, equipment, and inventory levels
· Engage with our Construction Team prior to Final Completion for testing and commissioning review prior to onboarding with the Energy Optimization Team
· Engage with our Technical Documentation Specialist upon closing of acquisitions to review job books for successful onboarding
· Work with the Energy Managers to ensure conformance to quality control procedures in maintenance activities
· Work with our Technical Documentation Specialist to review and report on project activities
· Work with your Energy Optimization Managers to report on technician performance for the purposes of professional development plans
Qualifications:
· Associates, technical college, or trade school degree
· Minimum 5 years of experience working in the solar industry; previous field experience working as a technician required
· Advanced electrical and mechanical certifications/courses preferred
· Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics; single and three-line diagrams
· Field Service Management system experience required
· Experience working with computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools preferred
· OSHA30 and CPR certification required
· Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)
· Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with multiple departments
· Travel requirement is 25% per quarter
