About the Position
Altus Power is currently seeking a highly motivated individual with the skills, experience, and aptitude to join our Energy Optimization team as a Production Engineer.
Responsibilities:
• Extract data from our DAS Provider to perform data validation, performance reporting and analysis, periodic system assessment, and project onboarding with the respective Project Manager (PM) and Energy Optimization Manager (EOM).
• Perform DAS software set up and programming in conjunction with SCADA Engineer, EOMs and DAS Provider.
• Review performance testing on new projects, including capacity testing with in-house Engineering team and third-party engineers.
• Monitor and provide diagnostic support for EOMs.
• Identify operational issues and initiate problem resolution with EOMs.
• Calculate and analyze energy losses incurred from equipment outages.
• Provide data to the Customer Service Team for reporting.
• Assist and support in data analytics based on performance needs.
• Provide DAS platform monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Perform new site modeling and configuration.
• Utilize solar hardware equipment and Data Acquisition Systems for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications / Desired Skills
• Requires Bachelor’s degree in Solar Energy engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study, plus three (3) years of experience with DAS platform monitoring and troubleshooting; new site modeling and configuration; and, utilizing solar hardware equipment and Data Acquisition Systems for data analysis and reporting.
