About the Position

Altus Power is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified Technical Documentation Analyst to join its Energy Optimization and Construction teams.  The Technical Documentation Analyst will be responsible for providing operational support and documentation management acting as a liaison amongst the corporate office, procurement, the field staff, and our project managers.  The ideal candidate will act as a resource to the field staff and project managers on company processes, procedures, and requirements.  Additionally, the candidate will utilize internal and external platforms to ensure accuracy of data for retrieval purposes and compile regular summaries of field activities for performance reporting on/with third parties. A successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, be detailed oriented, and be capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.  This cross-functional role will provide support to Energy Optimization – 80% and Construction - 20% of the time.

Responsibilities:

Onboarding Support – Training, Health, and Safety

  • Ensure field-specific documents, orientation packets, and training materials are available and up to date working with the Technician Manager and our Health & Safety Manager

Onboarding Support – Projects and Portfolios

  • Work with the Construction and Diligence teams to ensure successful onboarding of assets through a project documentation QC process
  • Track project hand-off deliverables amongst Structuring and Diligence to Energy Optimization as well as Construction to Energy Optimization

Administrative Support

  • Complete special projects and presentation requests as assigned
  • Ensure that work requests and orders are accurately assigned to projects and are prioritized appropriately for scheduling.  
  • Audit open and closed work orders of our internal team and third-party contractors, summarizing workflows to identify efficiencies and areas of improvement.    
  • Organize OEM specific documentation in addition to summarizing operational metrics to best inform our field staff in servicing activities
  • Maintain our supplier database, including contact details, geopolitical risks, and other key factors
  • Support the asset registry of the EO fields in our internal and external platforms.  

Inventory & Logistics Support

  • Coordinate and process rental equipment requests for field service activities in accordance with company procedures
  • Work with our Procurement Manager to ensure accurate tracking, timely replenishment, and auditing of inventory, tools, and equipment for Energy Optimization
  • Work with our Procurement Manager for the processing and filing of shipping documentation
  • Communicate with construction team, vendors, and suppliers on delivery schedules and all material related issues

Contract Compliance

  • Coordinate the prequalification and onboarding process of subcontractors
  • Maintain records of subcontractor performance, compliance with contractual terms, insurance certificates, licensing, and other compliance documentation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communications, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience providing administrative support.  Solar Industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-departmentally in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and interface with multiple departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.)
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
